Hotell Vic is an independent hotel in Porsgrunn, unaffiliated with any chain. It is located in the heart of the city, with easy access to shopping and attractions. The hotel is close to the industrial area of Herøya, home to many large companies, and is conveniently situated near most activities happening around the Grenland region.
Hotel rooms
You are welcome to stay in a single room, a double room, or with your family in a larger room. We put our guests first and are happy to help you find the best accommodation solution for your needs.
Parking
We offer 20 free parking spaces adjacent to the hotel building, with parking permits available at reception. We also have 2 electric vehicle chargers available for a fee, and there are several fast chargers just 100 meters from the hotel. A large paid parking lot is located right next to the hotel, with the first hour free and progressive rates thereafter. On Saturdays, Sundays, and all public holidays, parking is free of charge.
The Lobby Bar
In our lobby bar, you can purchase both hot and cold refreshments. We also offer snacks, chocolate, and mints. Newspapers are available for borrowing as well.
The Backyard Garden
You are more than welcome to bring your newspaper or coffee out to our cozy backyard garden, which is tucked away from the public and offers a quiet space in our city.
The garden features beautiful shrubs and flowers, along with benches, tables, and chairs where you can relax. You’ll also notice the garden is surrounded by charming old houses, rich with history and character from the Old Victoria Hotel. The hotel director used to live in one of these houses.
The Fitness Room
If you feel the need for a workout during your stay, the door to our spacious fitness room is open all day. The fitness room is new, modern, and exclusively for our guests. It features 2 treadmills, 1 rowing machine, 5 spinning bikes, 1 step machine, a flat bench, an incline bench, an Olympic barbell, dumbbells, exercise mats, and exercise balls.
Shuffleboard
In our lounge, we create a relaxing and enjoyable environment for our guests. The lounge features a large screen, seating areas, and a shuffleboard where you can play with friends or colleagues. Shuffleboard is free for our guests, but if you live nearby and would like to bring family or friends to play, it’s also free as long as you purchase something from our lobby bar.
